Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) - Victoria (Downtown)

Provides same-day care for non-life-threatening conditions.
Urgent Care services are for people who need care within 12-24 hours but do not require an emergency department and who do not have access to a family doctor, nurse practitioner or walk-in clinic in a suitable time frame. The UPCC can be used is an individual is experiencing:
  • Sprains and strains
  • Cuts, wounds or skin conditions
  • High fever
  • Infections, including chest, ear and urinary tract
  • Asthma attacks
  • New or worsening pain
  • Dehydration/constipation
  • Less serious child illness and injury
  • STI (including PrEP and PEP) care including prevention, vaccination, testing, treatment, and support
  • Cervical cancer screening (Routine Pap Tests)
  • Pregnancy testing and supported decision-making for unexpected pregnancies
  • Vaccines (call to inquire)
  • Chronic disease & lifestyle management
  • Referral to community health services
  • Prescribed injections (call to inquire)
  • Harm reduction supplies and education


Only Downtown Victoria, Oaklands and Fernwood residents are eligible to be attached to the clinic and book appointments. Official ID (such as Care Card, drivers licence or BCID) or a utility bill must confirm residency.
