Provides supports to unpaid caregivers of older adults.
Beacon Community Services Family & Friends Caregiver Support Program offers support to family and friend caregivers of older adults 55+ in the community, or at home, who have complex needs like chronic illness, frailty, or life-limiting conditions. The program offers:
- Emotional support, social opportunities, and educational services to enhance caregiver well-being
- Opportunities to increase caregiver skills, knowledge and confidence
- Group Peer Support for the caregiver that builds strong personal networks
- Assisting with communication to health care teams
